Wells Junior High School


Wells Junior High School focuses on responsibility, accountability and success for every one of the 472 students in grades 5-8.

The core values of responsibility, respect, compassion, trustworthiness and honesty make up our Code of Conduct and are the cornerstone for students and staff. The mission statement of our school is to maintain a school that is appropriate to the developmental needs of students in grades 5-8 within a learning environment that is productive and enjoyable for students and adults.

Wells Junior High School is organized by grade level teams. In addition to the core academic courses of language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, students have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of allied arts which include: art, computer, health, music, physical education and technology. Students in seventh and eighth grades are eligible to choose either French or Spanish as their foreign language.

Students may take advantage of a wide array of extra-curricular activities including three seasons of athletics, intramurals and after-school activities as well as a variety of drama, band, chorus productions and clubs.
